back to reality

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”
— Marilyn Monroe

Hello there….little bit of an absence…I just got back from holiday this morning.
Things have been pretty hectic and I wasn’t much in the mood for blogging- as you probably guessed by the last post. Wanted to share this Monroe quote first of all because I love her and admire her in so many ways, secondly because it made me smile.

Circumstances changed and I ended up in Turkey for two weeks with the rents and my two little brothers, and it couldn’t have worked out better….sometimes its nice to have your family around. The heat was insane and I promise to put some pics up soon but for now just to bring you up to speed….

Me and A had another shoot on the thurs just before i went away- we wanted to fit in something nice and summery before usual British weather reared its ugly head. A shot the photos, which i think have turned out fab. We decided to shoot a 50s style picnic in Durham and luckily it was a gorgeous day! The city is so pretty and we were lucky enough to loan one of the rowing boats to shoot the girls on the River Wear. Here’s a sneak of the photos, if you want to see them all they’ve been posted on the Courier blog, but heres a few of my favourites…

I’ll post soon about Turkey but for now just wanted to say thanks to the bloggers who left messages of support on the last post. I appreciate it a lot.

Gosh life in Europe seems so fun! I love these shots, they kind of remind me of the film An Education. Very sweet and serene.

    Cheers xx
