My life at the moment appears to have become one giant ‘to do’ list with me running around like a mental person trying to fit everything in. In the last week alone I have been assessed for a grad scheme (one of A LOT of applicants I may add though), obtained a freelance position from Acumen (hurray!), booked flights to India for March (double hurray!!) and then to top it all off French starts again next week (and I have done no work over Christmas.. oops). Phew, so having updated you, yes I know that I was supposed to be blogging more as part of my resolutions but it’s been put on the backburner for the moment… hopefully I’ll be able to fall back into more of a routine this week though!

Today was one of those days that I ignored my better judgement and was seduced into dark plum nails… Now I am, and probably always will be, the type of girl who immediately regrets painting my nails red (or any dark colour for that matter). There are three valid reasons for this:
1. Red nail polish stains your cuticles and/or fingers and/or hands.
2. I am cack-handed and not the neatest of nail painters (this causes problems when considering issue number one).
3. Because I’m perpetually running ten minutes late and seem to be always rushing to where I need to be, my nails are either not dry in time so I smudge them, or they’re chipped to bits by the time I get to my destination.

Just one last thing… I was very excited to discover this little delight, Ch*c To Complain About. I suggest you immediately take a peak because one: J is one of my favourite people, two: she is very funny.

haha cute post! Do you use base coat? because I use base coat all the time, and use a lot of dark colors, and they never stain my nails. They used to though, when I didn't wear base coat.

Also, I went to a nail salon recently and they had this really cool spray the put on my feet to dry my nails fast after painting them so that I could be able to leave with my socks on and shoes without damaging my nails, and it completely worked. You should try getting that.

WELL DONE!!! on the freelance! amazing Hannah! 😀

I refrain from painting my nails for this very reason, I've never been a nail painter, so whenever I try I ALWAYS smudge it and it looks rubbish! xx

    p.s. lovely watch
