ballet, French and pattern cutting..
After having a little break for the last two weeks (what with the millions of bank holidays and Newcastle Fashion Week taking up all of my attention..), my classes are all starting up again this week. Which means I’m back at ballet, French and pattern cutting, in addition to being on placement with another PR firm all week. As if things weren’t busy enough already. I know you won’t feel sorry for me seeing as though it’s all self-inflicted, and of course the fact I do actually enjoy going to all of these things. I spent the weekend keeping to myself really but caught up with J after TOO long an absence. We exchanged about six months of gossip and she generally teased me for being over zealous. I think my main issue though is that I just want to do everything at once. And the problem with this, as I discovered on Saturday when the sleep deprivation caught up, is that I wear myself thin because I’m terrified of missing out on anything.
I do love being busy but I’m itching for a little bit of time off to relax with a vodka tonic and a good film (ok, so I had one tonight, but it’s still technically the weekend so you needn’t get judgmental on me..) I’m also dying to crack these open..
I think the fact that I’m two issues behind is very revealing. Oh well, enough procrastinating, back to writing up my notes for my French speaking assessment tomorrow.
Je suis inutile.
Hannah I love Oh Comely. Such an interesting and different yet simple approach to the presentation and perception of fashion, images and magazines.
Sounds like you are working really hard! A little procrastination keeps the brains cells working so maybe a vodka tonic and a film isn't such a bad idea.
I feel your pain! I overloaded at uni this semester, started a new job and decided to trek to India for 2 weeks in the middle of semester. Now that it's finally exam time, I think I could really do with a few days off in a row, but like you it was all self-inflicted!
Ballet, French and pattern cutting do sound like an awful lot of fun though!! Keep at it 😀 Rhi xx

This is why I love you; you are me.
haha I need you to help me with my French… trying to do better with my independent studies but had no time.. starting next week (since I'm on deadline this week) I'm gonna force myself to do at least one hour a day! xx
great, fun and simple!
i adore this. in addition to teaching me to sew from afar, i think i may commission you for french lessons too! xo.
p.s. i've been without internet (excepting my iphone) for a couple weeks but i'm putting up your button RIGHT now. thank you for your patience, love bug.
Aww you're a sweetheart! I'm looking forward to your email when the craziness with the magazine and moving dies down! Can't wait to see more photos of the new place too! Xx
Wow – you really are keeping yourself busy! But I think that's what keeps life interesting; you wouldn't be having as much fun if you weren't doing ballet, Frenchan pattern cutting 🙂
