In keeping with the French theme (and as an excuse for French revision), I thought I’d pick another French film for this Stylish Moments post. Potiche is a funny and poignant story of self-discovery, kind of in a similar vein to Shirley Valentine. The film focussed on Suzanne Pujol trophy wife (potiche), played by the beautiful Catherine Deneuve, who takes over her husband’s umbrella factory when he becomes bedridden and suddenly finds herself a new woman. Empowered women and seventies glamour at its best.
Ugh, I love Catherine Deneuve. I love her sense of style, her acting, and the way she has persisted in an industry that is so scared of women aging. I really need to see this movie! I love how 70s everything looks, haha.

I love that big hair and those capes, so full and feminine.
Oh gosh, this looks like a really cool movie! All the retro fashion is so cute and looks very authentic. Thanks for sharing. ^^
