Boots and berets

It’s getting to that time of year when the mornings are dark, there’s more of a bite in the air and you find yourself starting to need a few extra layers. When people don’t venture out without jackets, scarves are wrapped tightly, and cold fingers, stuffed into worn leather gloves or woollen mittens, clutch hot chocolates for warmth.

Since it’s been ages since I’ve posted an outfit, (and because you couldn’t really see it in the last post), I thought I’d share one from Friday..

Topshop beige and black jumper Chanel

With the weather being so unpredictable, I find dressing for British summertime endlessly frustrating. It’s never quite hot enough to wear the kind of clothes you want to wear in summer, so although I love the sunshine I always find myself looking forward to winter. At least you can always rely on it to be bloody freezing!

These chelsea boots were pretty much attached to my feet last winter and since the cold weather has crept up on us, they’ve been slowly working their way back into all of my outfits. I’ve stopped being drawn to little sundresses and started to pull out my big coats, fluffy berets, chunky knits.

How was your weekend?

Love this outfit, you're right it is frustrating with the unpredictable weather! I prefer it when it gets really cold because then I know what to expect.

Hannah, you look so adorable. I'm loving that beret – you make it look cute rather than pretentious. 🙂

You look so adorable. Reminds me so much of Zooey Deschanel. You're effortlessly chic.
