Laid back locks and slouchy style

Hush‘s Spring Summer 13 catalogue landed on my doorstep the other day, and for the first time ever, I’ve found myself dog-earing the majority of the pages. Usually when I flick through I can only find lovely (but overpriced) pyjamas and lounge wear, but this season they’ve nailed the laid back look. With tousled hair and loosely layered outfits, I picked out so many great staple items that are perfect for work or casual wear. Since I’ve been employed by Precept. I’ve noticed that working in a creative environment, my wardrobe has slowly become more relaxed and casual. Where I used to rarely wear jeans (and went over 6 months without actually owning a pair), I’m now finding myself alternating between black and regular skinny jeans for work everyday. And since I hurt my foot a few weeks back, I’ve just been shoving on plimsolls or ballet flats… very different from the suede Nine West ankle boots I’d living in for the last few months and my usual wardrobe of little dresses and skirts! But who’s to say slouchy and casual can’t be stylish? After all, Alexa Chung was creative director for Superga last year.. Speaking of which, they’re another thing I’ve got on my wish list at the moment..

Since leaving my office job, I find my style gravitating a lot more towards what cn only be called slouchy chic. I love my skirts and dresses, but the reality is, it's so much easier to run around a big city in jeans. Although I'm still devoted to my ankle boots… but I think you have to be when you're pairing those jeans with an ever-growing collection so sweatshirts! I don't know Hush, but these photos have me wanting to learn a lot about it in a hurry 🙂

I'm totally into the slouchy relaxed styles coming out this spring too! I can't get enough of flowy tops, dresses, et al. I've never heard of Hush so I'll have to check them out.
