lazy-weekend-kinfolk-editorial

You know those weekends were you just want to do nothing? That. After a busy weekend in Leeds with the girls last week, I’ve needed some peace and quiet. And there’s so much going on it’s making my head spin, so I’ve spent today keeping a low profile. I’m moving out next month so in between wasting my day watching Gossip Girl, I’ve been flipping through editorials and pinning ideas for the flat. Not to mention falling in love with Kinfolk. The magazine’s been on my radar for a little while now thanks to Instagram. So while enjoying my downtime, I’ve been pouring over their editorials online. There’s something about their photography style that’s so whimsical and dreamy. Looking through The Great Indoors and Presents of Mind editorials, I feel sad that the festive season has been and gone so quickly, and that still we haven’t had any snow. They give me the urge to trawl through charity shops and flea markets looking for hidden treasure to make the flat feel like home. Not to mention, I now really want to get my hands on a pair of battered looking tan leather boots and a cosy aran jumper.. And of course, a copy of their latest issue.

I know what you mean about wanting it to snow at Christmas time. I love Newcastle, my friend lives in a cute place called Kibblesworth and you have a beach near by. I'm only a beginner blogger so am hoping to pick up tips from others. I think you're a good person to follow as your a writer whereas I just learn as I go a long. I have liked you on fb. My link is http://www.facebook.com/LornaMaiLtd if you'd like to follow but please no pressure, it's good to connect.

I hear you. The festive season was gone before I even had a chance to register that it started. You're very lucky you have the opportunity to get snow at Christmas, here in Australia its just sad and hot sunny days (beautiful in its own way sure, but its no dreamy white Christmas).

I'm sad we had no snow at Christmas, and it seemed to come and go even faster than usual as well. Loving the blog layout by the way – this is the first time in months I've actually been able to sit at a computer to catch up on blog reading so it's the first time I've seen the non mobile version, and it's beautiful – you make me want to delete my sidebar 😉
