dress: Aquascutum, lipstick: Nars, bag: Chloe, loafers: Russell and Bromley, trench coat: Burberry
I still can’t believe how fast this year has gone. It feels like January was five minutes ago and now we’re already practically in September. And with the changing of the seasons fast approaching my mind is switching from summer style to my autumn/winter wardrobe. In my last style post, I mentioned that I was trying to move away from fast fashion. Sure, I’m just as easily seduced by Topshop as the next girl, but there’s no denying the quality of the clothes usually isn’t there. That’s not to say you don’t occasionally find a gem. But like most of my friends, I’m starting to want to invest more in a couple of key designer pieces. While most of the stuff is still a little out of my price range, I’m loving classic brands like Burberry and Aquascutum. They may be pricy but the quality and timeless natural of the cuts mean that they’re the kind of clothes you know you’ll be wearing forever. So in an ideal world (and if money was of course, no object), what better way to start the new season than with an iconic trench, chic plaid dress, statement lipstick, classic leather loafers and the IT bag of the year? If only my wages lived up to my wardrobe aspirations!
