Situated in a Grade II listed stately home retreat in Staffordshire, Hoar Cross Hall feels like a world away from Newcastle. But when a spa offers you an overnight stay with a few blogger babes in their Royal Suite, it's safe to say it's worth spending a few hours in the car to get there! After all, it's not every day that you get offered your own suite complete with a private hot tub on your balcony, is it?
When it comes to spas, Hoar Cross Hall combines luxury, elegance and comfort. Each of their rooms is individually designed to make you feel at home. Having been given their Royal Suite (complete with two bedroom, two bathrooms, three private balconies, a private hot tub and sauna), we were treated to the ultimate luxe girly sleepover. Complete, of course, with champagne, midnight snacks and cheesy chick flicks! So naturally it didn't take long to feel at home or start letting ourselves unwind.
With light flooding the room from every angle, I swear I could've just spent days hanging out in our suite without ever seeing the rest of the hotel. Those who know me well know I've had issues with my sleep for a long time, but during our stay, I slept more soundly than I have done in months. Meaning that getting out of the huge bed and tearing off soft cotton sheets was even more difficult than usual. Even with the promise of an amazing breakfast and a spa day ahead!

Since we stayed over a weekend, when we arrived, the place was pretty busy. However, the facilities are big enough to accommodate everyone while still allowing the space to feel tranquil and intimate. During our stay we found it pretty easy to find a place to sit on one of the many loungers (our preferred was a set near the salt pool which was amazing for my eczema) and despite it being the weekend, we found the spa an incredibly relaxing place.

I guess it's not hard to feel relaxed when you've spent time by the pool unwinding, enjoyed an afternoon massage followed by an indulgent evening meal. After spending a while pouring over the menu, I plumped for the smooth pate for starters followed by sea bass and a side of their incredibly buttery mashed potato. Too full for dessert, we headed back to the room for a late evening soak in our hot tub.
I swear there's no better way to end an evening than soaking in a hot tub, looking at the stars and feeling the cool wind across your shoulders. Granted it's a slightly less romantic picture than it sounds when you're all nursing a huge food baby... Tired, relaxed and ridiculously happy, we soaked for a few hours before heading to bed.

If you're looking for a spa break, or a weekend away to celebrate something special, Hoar Cross Hall really is the perfect escape. If you're getting away with your girlfriends or planning a Hen Do, the Girl's Night In package that we were offered is ideal. From £199 per person for a classic room, it lets you eat, sleep, swim and relax in a wonderfully tranquil setting.
Big thank you to Hoar Cross Hall for inviting me along to review their amazing spa. While our stay was complimentary, all words are my own!
Oh my days, that ceiling, that food, that spa! I am so bookmarking this for my next weekend away with the girls!
