Every now and then, everyone has days where they’ve just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Nothing is quite wrong but you can’t seem to shake your bad mood. In general I’d say I was a pretty upbeat person but today has been one of those days. The combination of a lingering cold and tiredness is starting to catch up; so after spending Friday celebrating LG’s birthday and last night chilling with some of the girls, I decided to quarantine myself today in the hope that a relaxing day would cheer me up. Having spent the afternoon keeping myself to myself, I decided to call one of my besties for a catch up. After confessing feeling a little guilty about my lack of blogging, she suggested I share some of my favourite Sunday pick-me-ups..
Classic films:
They really don’t make them like they used to and there’s something so glamorous about old films. Watching classics like Breathless and Breakfast at Tiffany’s always cheers me up no matter what’s been happening.
Chocolate:
Like a lot of women, I find myself constantly craving chocolate and since it releases endorphins, it’s a pretty obvious pick-me-up.
Candles:
Scented candles always help to cheer me up on cold, dark nights. Right now my favourite is this lavender and geranium one but with Christmas fast approaching you ca guarantee this will be replaced by a more festive scent soon.
Walks along the beach:
I couldn’t imagine not living by the coast. I love heading down to the beach for walks, there’s something about the salty air that instantly clears my head. Beach walks are always made better when you’re accompanied by a bestie, so tonight me and Hells took her little puppy Vinnie out for a stroll with us.
What are your favourite pick-me-ups for Sunday blues?
coat: Topshop, hat: Cotton Love, scarf: Dents, jeans: H&M, boots: Ugg
Awesome pick me ups, darling!
I could use some chocolate right about now 😉

Definitely stuck in one of those rubbishy spirals at the moment – so much uni work due in and a serious case of blogger guilt, meaning I just can't relax! As soon as I hand in a few assessments on Friday I am taking this Sunday to grab some old movies, light some candles and shut myself away for a day <3
Waking up at the right side of the wrong bed.
I haven't seen Breakfast at Tiffany's (I'll watch it this week and not wait 'til Sunday) but I love me watching those classic Meg Ryan Films like: When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle.
