Back in October, when I was in Berlin with Becky, I stumbled on this scarf in Zara. It was starting to get pretty cold and since I’d been on the hunt for a non-wool tartan scarf, it seemed like the perfect find. Then I got back home to find it was already selling out of my local Zara and bloggers around the world sporting one! With its combination of nice neutral mix of colours and oversized shape, it goes with literally everything and it’s extra cosy. And since I’m cold practically ALL of the time, it’s definitely been one of my favourite purchases this year.
I’ve already told you that I love this time of year. And I’m not sure what it is, but I always find my winter wardrobe ends up my favourite. Maybe it’s because British summer time can be so unpredictable, I’m not really sure. I just feel like there’s more organisation with the A/W clothes, outfits come together easier, and I don’t (often) find myself caught out by the weather. What I have noticed lately though, is that I’ve fallen into a trap of making outfits out of a few key pieces I’ve bought this season. Since investing in my pleather skirt last month, my uniform (outside of work, obviously) has become fluffy jumpers, pleather, ankle boots and this scarf. Or a fluffy jumper with skinny jeans or trousers and ankle boots. Turns out I’m kinda a creature of habit. Either that or I’m just getting lazy. It is making me think I need to have a wardrobe sort out to see what’s lurking behind the mess.. I’m hoping that maybe it means it’s time to buy more clothes. Although my pre-Christmas pay won’t like the sound of that. The festive season has already left a considerable dent in my bank balance from purchasing presents (although a lot of them ended up being presents for myself..)
Outfit details:
jumper: Topshop, skirt: River Island, scarf: Zara, bag: Dr Martens, boots: Nine West
