Since I’ve been lusting after Supergas for a while now, and with an adventure weekend planned in Kielder, the other week seemed like the perfect time to invest in a pair. I figured because I’d mainly be wearing them to explore the Northumberland countryside, it would be sensible to opt for the navy. Definitely more practical colour to go for in the circumstances. Not that I’m against scruffy trainers or anything, it’s just nice to have them looking clean for a little longer than a week after purchasing them!
I’ve been on the hunt for a while so I think I’m pretty confident that they’re literally the perfect plimsoll for me. I’ve looked at Converse but these are a lot more of a cute, chunky shape that makes them feel a little retro. I kind of feel like a little kid with a nice new pair of shoes when I’m wearing them. And of course they go with everything, from little sundresses to my favourite Uniqlo gingham trousers. I don’t even mind them with my black skinny jeans! But then again, I think I do like black and navy together.. Anyway, needless to say, I never had them off my feet this weekend – as you’ll see soon from my photos.
I can’t wait to tell you all about my Epic Kielder adventure but I’m holding off posting anything before I’ve had a good chance to go through the photos, since me and LG got a little snap happy! We got back yesterday night and at first I was tempted to write something straight away but as I sunk into the sofa, started to feel the ache of my muscles, and notice the interesting variety of bruises that I’ve acquired beginning to develop into lovely deep blues and purples, I thought I deserved a little more of a rest. Plus I felt the experience itself deserved a little more of my full attention. So I’m keeping you in suspense for the time being…
Hope you all had a great weekend!
